Something About Her
“Keep your feet on the ground,” with this phrase from her, you’ll know easily how down-to-earth person she is. This girl of her generation captures my attention, and knowing some of her experiences can consider as an opportunity to treasure. This person I’m referring to is Pia Rose T. Rosacay, a kind of girl who is simple, a little solemn yet, a clever one when it comes to class. She was born October 22, 1994 and grew at Caloocan City also the second daughter of Mr and Mrs. Rosacay.
On her 18 years of existence, she had experienced different things in life, and I got the chance to know more of these, at the same time get along with her. As like other, everyone is interested on different stuffs and activities. Like Pia, she’s fond of reading books specifically novels and sketch some anime characters as well. However, these are not the only things she shared, even her experiences too.
It sounds strange that someone would tell about the naughtiest thing of her life. It happened when she was in high school, wherein she’s dancing different kinds of dance (“kung anu anu lng”) inside the classroom and was caught in act by his crush who had also crush on her. “Nagtama yung mata namin tas nakatawa siya,” she said. For her it is the silliest thing she ever made. Another experience in life that she considered as her scariest experience was the time while she was applying at PUP for the college enrollment when her feet got wheeled on by a taxi. One more is when her arm got dislocated when she was in grade 6.
Apart from these, Pia had also experienced failure. There is one point of her life when she expected too much and get disappointed. It happened during her high school days when her adviser anticipated her to obtain a higher rank over her junior mate. Unfortunately it turned out to be different, she got 8th place while her junior mate got 6th place. Another disappointment of her life was when they were defeated in a dance competition. She said that they give all their best and sacrificed a lot, “Tas natalo lang kami ng lower section na wala man lang sa kalingkingan namin yung effort ng dance nila! Kaya we expect too much,” Pia added.
Despite of these negative or somehow not good experiences she had, still she was stimulated of sharing her happiest moment that she’ll never forget. This happiest moment of her existence was during her high school life as well. When she and his best friend won 2nd place in the Division Press Conference (Pagsulat ng Balita) and they were the only participants of their school who won, so for her it was a greatest achievement.
For the next five years, Pia’s goal is to become a professional News Manager with different awards and to become an Editor-in-chief of any particular print media. She’s looking forward on helping her family, to finish college and to help her younger siblings, and more importantly her mother, whom she wants to become a master teacher someday.
Her promise to her grandfather before he’d gone is that she’ll finish her studies, the reason why she’s making every effort worthwhile. She was motivated by this promise to strive hard, for her family and for their future.
These happenings in her life bring encouragement to create new chapter of experiences. Now, on her college life, probably she will create abundant of experiences that will serve as her inspiration to continue her aspirations.
There are things about Pia Rosacay that will tell you immediately what kind of person she is. Who from this moment is being loved by her classmates, friends, and ofcourse her family. It was like this simple, sometimes shy and solemn person is no more, but with a marked difference and will endure changes, yet will still remain humble as she is right now.
